1928 Alvis 14.75 tourer by James Young
117kvignette.jpg
KP 38 was first registered in May 1928
It was awarded Best Car in Show at Chatsworth Country Fair and Bakewell Show in 2008.

It is one of only two surviving Alvis 6 cylinder 14.75hp tourers and is the only vintage Alvis to have been bodied by the prestigious coachbuilder James Young.

The first owner Mr C Clark of Croydon was chauffeur driven in the car until his death in 1954.

The third owner Santa Fitch-Peyton and her husband Jack covered many tens of thousands of miles in the car during their 11 year ownership until its retirement in 1967.

The car went back on the road in February 2008 after an extensive rebuild.
Additional weather protection is provided by the Auster screen - a windscreen for the rear passengers.
A hood and side screens are available for inclement weather.  We have a travel rug instead of a heater.
